Important Information About COVID-19 and Your Visit

As you know, dentists in Utah have been cleared to resume routine dental care. However, it is important to note that routine dentistry is not without risk. The Utah Dental Association states “knowing when to avoid certain high-risk situations and minimizing any other risk relies on sound professional judgement… [and the following additional precautions]:

  • Proper personal protective equipment (PPE): At Evansmiles we understand that at the end of the day, we are all people needing to safely return to our family. We take protecting you (and us) seriously and are equipped with N95 masks, face shields and other aerosol-mitigating equipment. We even installed a cleansable plexiglass barrier for safe communication at our front desk.
  • Social distancing: per the latest CDC guidelines, we encourage and enforce the recommended 6-feet of distance between patients and employees. We have adjusted our waiting room accordingly. If you prefer not to wait in the waiting room and would rather wait in your vehicle until your appointment, we ask you kindly call our front desk (801-278-9911) and “check in”.
  • Proper screening: each patient will be asked a series of questions to determine personal risk and a temperature taken with a sterile instrument.

These are some of the most apparent changes you will see when you arrive for your appointment but rest assured, many more are in affect.  We are thrilled Governor Herbert gave us clearance to help you again. Working on teeth is what we do, but helping our friends is who we are.

We may not ever return to the way things “used to be” but we ask for your patience and trust as we try to embrace our new normal together.
